Needed for a quick repair
Easy to use to remove slack from E brake cables. Called (another retailer) first and while I was getting run-around on phone, I looked it up online and ordered it for pick-up from Advance Auto. Came through again! Good for Advance Auto.

Incredibly bad product
Product incorrectly assembled in pack: buyer wouldn't guess how it worked unless they studied it and put it together right. Won't work as made: you get to end of thread before it starts to shorten cable. Worst of all: dangerous. If you modify it so it does shorten cable, if you pull hard on the emergency brake (as in an emergency) it crumples, leaving you without a brake. I'm amazed that such a bad product is sold in thousands of stores across the country.

This cable adjuster is not up to the job, made from poor material will not hold up.

Installed adjuster on cable. Applied brake. Adjuster twisted like a pretzel. COMPLETE FAILURE!
