New part cv shaft defect
Great product at low price
Have replaced four of these on four Chrysler LH vehicles that my family owns over the years (Intrepid, Concorde, LHS, etc) with the 3.2/3.5 engines. They are as good as OEM. Now many years later, still work great.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I rented a harmonic balancer removal tool kit from Advanced. I have a 3.5 liter Dodge Intrepid. I had to take apart a lot of stuff to get to the Harmonic Balancer/pulley (I followed the instructions in the Intrepid maintenance manual). Once I got to the harmonic balancer (which I will now call "pulley"), when I tried to remove the 14mm bolt that holds the pulley on, the shaft of the engine turns. I had to utilize a tool in the kit and add three bolts @ 120 degrees apart in the tool that hold against the three ribs on the pulley to prevent the pulley from turning when unscrewing the bolt. I used a socket with a 1/2" ratchet with a short extension, where the extension fit perfectly through tool with the 3 bolts in it. The "low profile" 3 jaw puller from the kit worked perfectly still using the 3 bolt tool to keep the shaft from turning again. Upon installing the new pulley, the bore was slightly smaller than the shaft it had to go on. It is a light press fit. The kit included many different sizes of threaded inserts for installing the new pulley, but did not include the needed 14mm thread that the shaft had. The 14mm bolt that I removed upon disassembly was not long enough to catch any threads to pull the new pulley on. I ended up buying a long 14mm bolt and many washers to pull the new pulley on. Other than finding a way to keep the shaft from turning while loosening/tightening the pulley, and getting a bolt to force the pulley onto the shaft, things went pretty smooth. The included instructions tell you how tight the bolt must be. The also have you put loctite on the thread upon installation.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
