1987 4.3L Mercruiser 262cu.in v6
This balancer worked on my old Mercruiser v6. Merc PN 11990 fit right up, went on tight. Use some grease and make sure key lines up with the slot. I sanded the ID a little to be sure there were no burrs.

It was defective right out of the box. The rubber looked as if it had been stuck back in with a screwdriver. Also the painting was bad.

Poor quality part marketed like OEM and price at premium.
Metal outer ring walked off the rubber isolator and rubbed into the timing chain cover causing premature gasket failure. This is NOT OE quality. To salt the wound, failure mode caused further damage. Dorman should think carefully about their off-take program for their "OE" parts.
