I have this battery in two of our Mercedes. It is a top-notch AGM battery, exact size and better specs than OE. Easy install on the E500. PITA on the ML350 (but not the battery's fault, it's MB's fault). I changed both myself. To folks who say it "doesn't fit" their Grand Cherokee or ML350 (which are +/- same chassis), or complain that the store worker "didn't know how" to change the battery in those: It definitively fits the ML350, and it should fit the Cherokee; there may be some Cherokees that used a smaller battery, and the hold-down stuff is set differently. On the Cherokee, just LOOK at the existing battery, and get its H-size. When you review the manual (or a video) of how to change that battery, you'll see the problem. It's under the passenger seat. To change it, you cut the carpet, remove a duct, and only then expose the battery compartment. Only Daimler could have designed something this unnecessarily-complicated. It is an enormous pain, because the seat doesn't go forward far enough for you to just lift it out vertically, and the hole into the compartment doesn't expose the whole battery. There's a lot of very-delicate reaching that goes on, and you need a good (preferably pivot) socket extension and a telescoping pen-magnet to make it easy. Otherwise, you'll drop the nut or screw or hold-down plate and never be able to get your fingers in there to get it out. BEST ADVICE: Get a pry bar. What the MB Dealers do (there's a video online) is to free the battery by unscrewing the bolt on the hold-down plate and disconnecting the wires, then put the pry bar under the close side of the battery and tilt it to about 45 degrees, and then just slide it up the pry bar. That part is then easy, but the whole process still takes time. That the Advance employee didn't know this weird method doesn't surprise me. The dealer gets beaucoup $$$$ to do it, so be grateful if Advance does it for free. Complaining about this makes you look silly.

My recent visit to this store left me with mixed feelings. I ended up having to purchase the tools myself, which was an unexpected inconvenience. On a positive note, the battery itself is of excellent quality and has been performing well. However, the overall experience was marred by these service-related issues. In conclusion, while I am satisfied with the products I purchased, I hope the manager will take steps to improve their communication and service offerings to ensure a more seamless experience for customers in the future.
