TIME will tell ...
Could've sworn I already wrote a review, but the link was in my inbox, so here we go again ... Hard to review a battery that's barely over 2 weeks old, but it's working, as it should be! A proper review would be in 5-8 years, or hopefully longer. Only then will we know if the DieHard name is just as good as it used to be, or if it has become a marketing gimmick.
Installation was simple in my '07 Silverado (GMT-900) 1500 - not sure why the description states that professional installation is required. It is a little more difficult to install compared to cars of the 90's and prior, but nothing that would keep a DIY'er from completing the mission successfully, IMO. So long as one understands that the positive wire or terminal is harmless when the ground is NOT yet connected. On this particular vehicle, you have to remove 4 bolts holding the corner support in place. Also, the battery ground should be NEXT to the firewall, and positive should be up front. I saw one reviewer with it in backwards - that's why his terminals didn't fit. The battery cables on this vehicle have strange terminals that fit into that "dip" in the battery. Dumb design, meant to keep you from putting any battery you want in there, like in the days past. You'd have to cut and install NORMAL terminals in order to do that ... but then there's the fact that they purposely made the base to fit ONLY this style battery! I hate modern vehicles, but I digress. Thankfully the DieHard Gold H6 fit perfectly.

I will not be buying another battery from AdvanceAuto
I purchased a Diehard Gold battery (3-year warranty) from Advance in 2020, that battery died so I went to Advance Auto and they swapped it out without any issue. So this battery died and I went to get a replacement battery and they stated that this battery's warranty had expired because they were using the original warranty. How can you use the original battery's warranty on the second battery? That battery is independent of the first. That is like you leasing the first car, turning it in a being penalized for mileage on the second leased car. If you can not stand by you product then change the warranty to express that. Do not have the customer just through some due process, to welch on a warranty. If this is how they are going to operate, then it will the last battery purchased from them

Yes, Phil! This DieHard Gold Battery: H6 Group Size, 730 CCA, 910 CA, 115 Minute Reserve Capacity, Maximum Starting Power - Part # 48H6 is a maintenance-free battery.
why is there a hose next to the battery . Is it supposed to hoke to the battery some how.

Hi Peter, I'm glad to assist you! The hose is acting as a vent to take out the gases produced by the battery while charging, in case excess pressure builds up inside your battery due to overcharging. So, you've to hook up to this DieHard Gold Battery - Part # 48H6.
