Good enough
I bought this to get an engine swapped out on a 2007 F150 5.4L 3V, which is a V8 engine that weighs 512 pounds. I used it with a Teq Correct balancing bar and it got the job done. The instructions were nearly worthless, so expect to spend a good amount of time figuring out which bolt goes where since my instructions were labeled incorrectly and they are not detailed to any degree. It took me a few tries to find the right bolt for the particular placement but luckily there are only a few different types. The jack held the load, the welds look good, and the heavy gauge of the bars should hold up for a long time. When folded it takes up about 5 square feet of floor space.

Big Bertha
I haven't used it yet. I actually bought it for my son. When he finished putting it together I realized I could install this in the back of my truck and go hoggin at Gus's nightclub. I'm sure it'll handle any massive load/engine I have.
Built well works great
I used this shop crane to remove my engine from my Subaru. Worked great and also worked well moving the old and new engines around as well as getting them on stands for work.
I have no doubt this could easily lift a big V8.

Solid
Solid engine hoist. Need to bleed the piston first!! Don't just start using it. Fill and bleed and you'll be good to go! High quality hoist!
