DieHard Platinum AGM Battery : 51R Group Size, 435 CCA, 540 CA, 75 Minute Reserve Capacity

The previous battery I bought & had installed from a competitor auto shop did not last me even close to the guaranteed 2 year life span and ultimately ended up leaving me stranded one late night after it crapped out. Thankfully, Advanced Auto Parts was able to provide me with this battery that not only lasts longer, but also suits all of my car's high electrical needs. "Matched" replacement for a 2021 Honda Insight hybrid. Vehicle battery sits in the passenger compartment and requires connection to an existing drain plug to ensure any AGM battery failure doesn't off-gas hydrogen into the compartment and risk explosion/injury. "Matched" battery wouldn't take existing drain plug connection. Took battery back up to store. Store reps attempted to find a way to properly and securely connect drain connection. No resolution. Asked for a refund, and store manager said NO REFUNDS ON ELECTRONICS! After arguing and asking for GM's number, I finally got a refund, and went down the street to the NAPA store that had the right battery and right drain connection. Before you say "AGM batteries don't need a drain plug", there is absolutely no information on the AAP website or in the store that CONFRIMS a drain plug is not necessary. While the battery details stays non spillable, and refers to in passenger compartment use, there is no confirmation as to what happens when the AGM battery receives excessive current or fails, and whether off-gasing will occur. I can't take that chance. Poor experience and I hope to help others that run across this situation.
