My girlfriends car needed a tune up. I researched several spark plugs and went with Denso platinum TT. I immediately noticed the engine running smoother and a little pick up nothing serious but noticeable. 200 miles later and gas mileage has increased slightly. The Denso platinum TT is a good choice for this 2003 Honda Accord LX 4cyl.

After 14,000 miles I pulled the spark plugs to take a look and found that the ground strap tips had eroded away. On the good side the plugs are super clean and the center electrode shows no signs of wear. I did not replace these plugs with the same Denso Platinum TT but will use them again if Denso fixes this problem and make the ground electrode more durable. I would even pay more money if this spark plug design provided a longer service life. I would recommend this product to a friend with the understanding these plugs will only last one year more or less as designed to function.

Great set of plugs to replace worn or plugs at 205,000 miles. Installed these and you could feel the difference. Car seemed sluggish prior to replacing plugs. No need for Iridium plugs. Probably won't even feel the difference at this class of car.

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

I have used these for some time in our 2008 subaru Outback. The plugs last a long time. The wires are the weak link in the chain. Just replace them every 60000 with these plugs and save aggravation for another 60000.

What is the correct gap setting for a 2008 Suzuki Forenza?
Asked on 8/19/2016 by Sean P

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Hi Sean, I'm glad to assist you! This Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug - Part No. 4504 is pre-gapped at .040"-inch from the factory. All the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings.

      • Q:

What's the recommended gap for a 2009 GTi that's been "chipped"? I just bought 4 Denso plugs and installed 5/1 (Order #18772642) and replaced the 4 Coil packs 2 days ago and am guessing that the Denso plugs aren't working well as I'm getting numerous misfires (Code P0302/304)!

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

This Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug - Part No. 4504 is an exact fit for your 2009 Volkswagen GTI and is recommended to gap 0.044 inches. The code P0302 and P0304 are a Cylinder Number 2 Misfire. Start at the front of the engine, where all the accessories are mounted (alternator, power steering pump, etc) then count each each spark plug from left to right in normal order. The cylinder to the left will be 1, and the cylinder to the far right will be 4. When you locate number 2 cylinder, check the plug wire for damage. Remove the spark plug and inspect it for wear. A new set of spark plugs and wires will probably fix your problem. I bought these plugs for 1996 Toyota Camry (2.2L 4 cylinder). These plugs come pre-gapped at 0.040 inch. The manual states the plug gap is supposed to be 0.044 inch. Should the gap be adjusted to 0.044 or should it be left at 0.040?

It is always better to go according to the vehicle owner’s manual as it states the plug gap is supposed to be 0.044 inch to avoid intermittence.
