WRONG MM THREAD PATTERN ON CAR QUEST OIL FILTER!!
I own a 2001 Ford Explorer XLS 4.0L 6CY ENGINE!!! I purchased what I thought was a standard carquest oil filter BUT THE THREAD PATTERN IS WAY TO BIG FOR MY ENGINE!!! I have no way around so now I have to get the correct filter before I can put oil back in my truck to hopefully drive it soon!!! The correct thread pattern is approximately 18mm!!!

I buy by the case...
High priced filters work no better, just waste money. Oil is it's own filter; the oil filter just removes the big pieces, if any. Oil changes are a lot more important than any filter....
