Perfect replacement
The original pulley failed on my '99 E46 323i at 100,000 miles and left me stranded. I was in a bind on a Friday night so I sourced this idler pulley along with a new Dayco tensioner assembly and Dayco belt in order to get my vehicle back on the road. This Dayco 89089 is a German made "Flennor" branded product. Some reviewers have stated that this is a relabeled OEM pulley but it is not. INA is the OEM supplier but this relabeled Flennor pulley is of excellent quality. It is dimensionally correct and of high quality.

I probably wouldn't purchase again knowing what I now know.
This pulley met fit and function, but not form. The original OEM pulley had a dust cap to keep the dirt and debris out of the bearing. This one did not, and didn't have provisions/features to accept the old dust cap. This will definitely wear out quicker without the cap to keep the debris out.

OEM part at a great price!
Part worked great on my BMW. In comparing it to the old one, this is EXACTLY the same part, made in Germany, just in a different box. Why pay for the BMW box when this one is alot cheaper??

perfect replacement parts
Replaced with this unit on my 2000 3 series BMW and my 04' BMW and both are perfect fit and running strong, plus DAYCO is made in Germany, has the exact same stamps on it that the OEM BMW ones did.
