If you are changing water pump of timing belt you should change this and also the timing belt tensioner all at same time. The idler pulley is a good part and seems to be well made. I just wish it was made in the USA! I changed this part after my water pump went out. also changed timing belt. There was no mention of highly recommending changing the tensioner. a mechanic from a dealership said hey always change them to avoid comebacks and engine damage.
