Dayco idler/tensioner pulleys are built with smoother surfaces and tighter dimensional tolerances, which translates to less vibration and longer belt life. In addition to stamped, forged steel and powdered metal pulleys, Dayco also designs ultra-strong plastic pulleys with specially formulated glass-filled polymers that resist wear and tear. Premium lubricated ball bearings and double high temperature seals ensure peak bearing performance, the most critical element of a pulley's service life.

Great quality sealed bearing inside
An affordable replacement idler pulley. I'm not a big fan of plastic though. Last plastic pulley I used on a snowblower flew to pieces. Plastic seems out of place on this tough 25 year old Grand Marquis ... & it certainly feels foolish removing a metal pulley & replacing it with a plastic one. 177,310 miles on that metal pulley, & I only replaced it due to bearing noise - there was no play in it whatsoever! There's actually more play in this new pulley's bearing, but I've used NTN bearings in Jap motorcycles with excellent results. We'll see how it holds up. If either the bearing or plastic pulley fails, I can still install a new bearing in the old original metal pulley. I can't see that plastic lasting 25 years & 177K. Can't beat the price though, AND a BIG PLUS: it's actually MADE IN USA!

Does not fit! Isuzu trooper/chevy blazer
I own a Isuzu Trooper 2.8 V6. After being assured that the part would bolt right on and fit with no extra hardware, I found that It did not fit. After finally getting it installed correctly with new hardware, I got about a 1/4 Mile down the road before the truck broke down due to the parts fins on the back not fitting correctly and rubbing against the truck. DO NOT buy unless this is the Exact part that comes off Your current engine. It does Not offer as a viable replacement for the metal version of the same part.

Not for a 1995 F53 460 v8

Supposed to be exact fit, Not the case. Appears to be correct until you try to install. It is tight against the tensioner and will not rotate. If I attempt to shim it, it will not line up with the other pulley.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Works but had to modify

Hi Scott, I'm glad to help you! This Dayco Idler Pulley (Part # 89001) has to be matched with your existing pulley when installing. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
Is this product the same as craftsman mower pulley, part #193197. Original part on mower is 4" diameter, with 3/4" inner diameter, and about 1 1/2" tall?
