Resolved Squeal
Installed in 1999 Chrysler T&C with 150K mi. Initially thought I had a bad steering pump/pulley following a line rupture. Visual inspection of the belt didn't show any significant wear/cracking, but decided to try a belt replacement before attempting to replace the steering pump/pulley. Removing the old belt was relatively easy despite a very stiff tension pulley. With only a little pull on the tension pulley, I was able to slip the old belt off the alternator pulley, then thread it off the other pulleys. Installation was quite a bit more difficult as the tension pulley recedes quite far back/down once the belt is removed. Due to bends in the new belt (from packaging), this made it hard to keep it on the other pulleys while simultaneously a) pulling the tension pulley into place and b) attempting to slip the belt onto the alternator pulley at the back of the motor. Once finally installed, I was extremely pleased to find that the squeal had disappeared. Obviously, the long-term durability of the belt won't be known for awhile, but I'm happy with this purchase/repair so far.

Erratic Belt Movement
This serpentine belt is slightly undersized than the original size. When installed, then engine started, it erratically moves from side to side. Even after replacing the belt tensioner, and the idler wheel, it still does the same thing. The belt tensioner is forced upwards too much causing the tensioner to vibrate too much, in turn this causes the belt to move erratically from side to side to a point that it almost falls off. And this alone happens when it is just in park position. Imagine when driving the vehicle! I had to put the old serpentine belt back on. Properly made replacement belts should be able to fit exactly like the original part. I can't understand why this belt was not made exactly like the original part.

Not made in America
The dayco I took off was made in America and lasted for years. I bought the same one again and it is made in Argentina. The belt looked different, cheaper and soft. Put it on and in three drives it broke. The main reason I always bought Dayco is because of quality and American made. I will be buying a different brand.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Wrong part

With the information available online it was very difficult to figure out which belt to order. I got the wrong one. It was about an inch too short
old versus new
no new belt is going to match exactly the old belt, thats because over time the old belt stretches. Also if its not a direct oem replacement, you have a universal replacement which may very in size but should not affect performance. And if your belt is wobbling back and forth than you must have installed it wrong or your tensioner or idler pulley or some other pulley near by may be loose. Also it can be very easy to install the belt wrong, this can cause a belt to seem too tight, or even too loose.
Fits & works great
Easy install on my 1996 Suburban. Fixed all my problems with that car.
