Better than OE
Product is much better than the OE cast aluminum piece. The mounting studs are longer because this piece has nuts that allow you to use 2 wrenches to tighten the bolts as opposed to the 1 wrench and allen wrench required by the original equipment. The length is no problem you just turn the wheel to allow extra clearance on the upper strut mounting location. If you install with the weight off of the vehicle be sure to recheck the torque once the vehicle is back on the ground. I am very pleased with all aspects of this part, price, quality, fit, and performance.

Bad luck with these...
My old sway bar links were worn out and the front end was noisy. I bought these and was surprised how tight the ends felt when trying to move them by hand, but installed them anyway. I shouldn't have. There was so much "sticktion" in the ends the resulting front end noise was terrible - worse than the old worn out ones. I ended up returning them and getting the Moog version - a lot more expensive, but they were much smoother and I could work the ends by hand - and they were dead quiet when installed. Maybe these would loosen up and get quieter with age, but I couldn't put up with the noise to wait it out. I've used other Driveworks stuff with good results (installed tie rod ends at the same time as these and they're fine...) but these were just bad. Check 'em out in the store, if you can't move the end bolts by hand, don't take them. BTW, there's a lot of comments about the bolt being too long - but if you turn the steering wheel to the extreme when installing(can't remember which way, but it'll be obvious) there will be plenty of clearance room. The Moog part was exactly the same way...

The link is to long for my 2008 escape. sway bar was hitting lower control arm. Bought the link for 2002 escape, one inch shorter solved my rattle. How long and how many escape drivers have this rattle? Get it right Advance.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Not enough clearance for 05 Escape
Staff Reviewer -
These are near impossible to insall on my 2005 Ford Escape with 4X4. The bolt on the end is extremly long. Ended up buying Duralast links that were 100x easier to install. Do not buy for 2005 Escape
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Wrong size
Picked up this component to replace a RF link on an escape for a friend. Come to find this link 1 and a half inches longer than OEM, the only way to fit this piece would be to bend the sway bar and put it under a lot of stress.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Would purchase again
