Check Vehicle Fit

Each brake hose is precision engineered to exact fit and includes brackets, grommets, molded plastic guards, wire clips, and protective sleeves as required to ensure that all wearable parts are restored to original condition. Every brake hose is subjected to a high pressure quality assurance test before leaving the factory, ensuring trouble free installation and operation of your new hose. Brake hoses with banjo end fittings include new copper washers to ensure proper sealing.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Hydraulic Hose:

After installation, the hose leaked at the banjo bolt and would not stop regardless to the torque applied to the bolt. Inspected the OEM banjo washers and the new ones supplied with this hose, and the OEM washers are 2-3 times thicker. Until this is rectified with the manufacturer, I would not recommend this part to anyone.

Comments about Carquest Wearever Brake Hydraulic Hose:

We tried to attach the female connection on this brake hose to the brake line and it does not fit properly. We did not strip the threads, we attached it correctly but the fit is poor. When we pressed on the pedal; brake fluid kept dripping from the connection. We plan to buy a better quality brake hose and return this one.

    • Q:

What size is the bolt that fits the clamp/bracket in the middle of the hose. The old one was so rusted that it twisted off when I attempted to remove it.

        A:

Sorry, I would not know. I would assume it is either held on by a 10 mm or 12mm bolt. The most common thread size that I have seen personally would be a M6x1.5 or M8x1.5 for the brake hose hold down bolts. The best option would be to compare to the same one on the other side of the vehicle.
