    Both repair manuals I have show the break drum for this car having the lug nuts and wheel bearing races. Am I missing something? It looks like this is the wrong drum.

      Not sure what manuals you are using, but they are wrong.
      The drum is cast seperate from the hub on the PT Cruiser. It might take some banging and prying but the drum WILL slide off the hub. Spray a solvent around the bearing hub and around the studs and let soak for a few minutes.
      Might have to back the brake adjuster off a bit too to get the clearance you need over the shoes.
