Ready to go right from the box
The drum is ready to go right out of the box. However the website provides two exact fits for the Dodge Dakota, and does not differentiate between the 9" and 11" models. The more expensive drum is the 11", which seems intuitive, but if you haven't done brakes in a while and forgot...
So i got the wrong ones on the internet, and my local store made good on the exchange and took care of me. Price isn't the only important thing. Thanks, AAP.

never did care for turning drums or rotors, noticed that most mechanics dont measure the thickness or diameter as I was taught years ago..there is a limit to dia or thickness. drums and brakes shoes from Advance Auto worked just fine.
