Hi Richard, I'm glad to assist you! The pad shims in this Platinum Ceramic Brake Pads Set - Part # PXD1815H fit onto the back of the pads and are put there as an insulating layer between the pads and caliper. The V-shaped abutment clips are installed between the brake pads and the caliper bracket mounting lands. A pair of abutment clips hold the inner and outer pads in place, preventing rattles and allowing the brakes to apply and release smoothly. Some aftermarket manufacturers offer these as an add-on for brake systems that did not originally incorporate them. For help with your project, I recommend you refer to a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further in detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
Will these pads fit 19" wheels?

Hi Rich, I'm glad to help you! We can only look up by the vehicle. Since you didn't mention the specific vehicle, it's hard to tell for sure. To give you the correct information I would need the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle.
Several reviews stated the included retainer clips were not oem clips and made contact with rotor, reported as making awfull noises while in motion, etc. Has this issue been remedied or do I need to look elsewhere?
