Perfect fit - identical to OEM
2009 Mercury Milan 2.3L FWD
I bought these a little over 2 months ago, so I've had some time to use them, and I'm very happy. They came with new clips, and when I took off the old, dealership installed Motorcraft pads, they were identical. To be honest, I thought about getting the el cheapo set of pads, but these specifically said they came with new hardware (which, not having tore anything apart yet, I didn't know if I needed or not, but better to have and not need, than need and not have), I like the idea of ceramic over semi-metallic for heat dispersion which ultimately keeps the rotors from warping and adds to longevity, and this being the first non-dealership brake job, I didn't want to cheap out and have to do this again, so I spent the extra money and decided on these. As I said, very good decision, and well worth it.
QUICK TIP: On the 2009 Mercury Milan (and possibly other similar Ford and Lincoln vehicles), the caliper piston needs to be screwed in clockwise to go back in. I blew apart my caliper to figure this out, so learn from my mistake! I used a large pair of channel lock pliers on the second caliper, but I hear they make a special tool to do the same thing. Be careful not to knick the rubber boot.

Incomplete Hardware Included
Purchased in November of 2015. Installed easy enough with included hardware kit, but kit didn't include boots or bushings for caliper pins. Failed in April of 2016 due to bushing breaking on one pin. Advance Auto Parts warranty only covers defects apparently and would not replace pads, hardware or rotors that were purchased for brake job because hardware kit doesn't include everything that's required. ALL competitor kits include these added essentials. Don't buy from Advance, the warranty is not what it seems.
