Works well and decently priced
Nothing to complain about / replacement part / if only other things on vehicles were this simple to replace / one note: be careful with the vacuum line above the alternator

Squealing within 1 week, twice
(1993 5.8L bronco XTL owner) I I replaced original alternator due to low voltage at idle, but it was still "working" just not very well it seemed. Bought this alternator because it said "motorcraft" on the housing in the product image. It is NOT a motorcraft alternator when i picked it up. It did not solve my voltage issues, and my mechanic told me it was intermittently turning on and it would kick back on if he tapped it with a hammer. I heard a lot of squealing from the alternator after about 2 weeks of use so i replaced it again with warranty. Started squealing again next day. Mechanic has checked serpentine system and battery but says alternator is the issue. Also, the first one i put in was perhaps out of tolerance on hole pattern and required some finesse to thread all 3 bolts.
Ultimately, if you are upgrading to a 3g alternator or replacing 3g alternator on an older ford like mine that has the 3 bolt mounting style, i would not recommend this unit. Instead, switch to a 130 amp 3g alternator and maybe add a second cable to battery or go with 170amp 3g alternator and add a 4ga wire to supplement alternator -> battery connection (don't do this if you are not comfortable with the work, maybe ask a mechanic). Otherwise, you will spend almost $200 on this and it will not solve your problems.
