what is the eastiest way to reach the top bolt on the starter

With reference to your inquiry on Worldwide Starter - Part No. 17694, the top stud normally holds two ground wires and has nylon insert. So you can't just loosen it then spin it off with fingers. A deep socket (5/8 deep socket) and a universal joint (on the socket) is recommended. This one is a trick because it’s in a tight spot but can be done with a 5/8 deep socket.
