Works, be aware of fit issues
Direct replacement? Not exactly.
Top and bottom chords are much narrower than OEM. This causes issues with fan/shroud installation since top cord was integrated for support. Thinking about how I might resolve the issue of the now unsupported fan/shroud flopping around.
Fitting the A/C condenser is far from fun as getting all parts 'folded' together without causing damage to cooling fins or lines is challenging, even on your best day.
You will be removing a bunch of clips to reuse them so don't trash the original part prematurely. There is no fin protector on this so create your own to prevent a wayward fan from damaging fins, I used some stainless lock wire that was at hand.
Expect the 8-32 clips holding the radiator to the body to be broken. Get some spares on hand to prevent getting stranded or requiring some creative moves during the reassembly process. Get some hose clamps because the original squeeze ones can be challenging to reinstall. Mine were pretty weak at 90k miles 20+ years old although the hoses were still pretty limber and remain in place.
Difficulty is a 4of10 for a guy who dislikes unnecessary effort or getting completely dirty. Saved a fair amount of coins compared to the estimate received from a local mechanic. This is a take it apart and hook up the new one proposition. No exceptional skills are needed although you will get a lot of credit for the job, way beyond actual effort.
Got a nice discount and the online purchase made it easy to send my lovely bride over to pick it up with no absolutely problems. This allowed me to disassemble while she journeyed across town making the process so much faster and further raising the already high wife acceptance factor.
Don't forget to clean those rust stains from the driveway or its easy to lose some romance points gained from the job...
