The 2002 Park Avenue has 2 possible pressure line hoses. One type is for the system without magnetic variable steering assist. The other is with magnetic variable steering assist. How do I determine which system and proper hose is for my car?

Happy to help! Yes, there are two different parts depending on the variable assist. Part 35217 is for the one with magnetic variable assist while Part 37106 is for the one without magnetic variable assist. To know if you have the magnetic variable assist, turn the wheels all the way to the right, then look in from behind the driverside wheel to the rack, you should be looking for a wire that leads from the rack boot (where the column meets the rack) to the top of the transmission by the shifter linkage. If you don't see this, your car doesn't have one.
