dont buy it unless you like re-work
Ok, This is not my first rodeo with the 5.4 3v. I changed the solenoids, phasers, and complete timing kit. This was the first time using Dayco/CQ, and I couldn't be more disappointed. the upper guides are both already broken. and one of the tensioners have failed. Within 480 miles. biggest reason is because the tensioners themselves are made from a plastic house that is extremely inferior to cast iron, or steel tensioners.
Save yourself the hassle and only do this one time. spend the extra money and get the performance tensioners, guides and arms from modular mustang racing
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Tensioners fail
Purchased on 3/22/2016, and in May 2016 the driver side tensioner has already stopped keeping tension at start up. When labor is so expensive on these 5.4s the quality of parts should be greater. Very disappointed.
