Carquest Premium oil filters are built for durability, utilizing enhanced components to protect engines for the extended drain intervals of modern vehicles using conventional or synthetic lubricants. Our oil filters are built with synthetic blend media that provides 2X the capacity and up to 10,000 miles of protection. Carquest Premium filters feature silicone sealing gaskets for better performance in extreme temperatures. Carquest Premium oil filters meet or exceed original equipment (O.E.) specifications and meet the requirements for maintaining a new vehicle warranty.

a clone of the mobil 1 m1-110
Compare against the mobil 1 m1-110 ep oil filters and you'll see for yourself that it is the same thing, minus a couple small details. This thing feels so solid in your hand...like a brick. The old Carquest filters were made by Wix but I'm pretty sure these new ones are made by Champ Labs. It has slightly better filtration than the m1-110 BUT is only tested for 10,000 miles, not 15,000. So, unless you plan on keeping it on for longer than 10,000 miles, save yourself $5 and buy this instead. You won't regret your purchase.

No Boss
After buying this filter based on reviews it is closer to the new version Purolator PureOne but costs much more. Both are decent filters but for the money the Boss by Purolator is hands down a better filter and will even reach 15k instead of 10k. Nice to have the better filters to match the oil intervals of full Syn oil finally. Only took 40 yrs after the first full synthetic oil for cars hit the market too, just can't beat that now can we...lol
Purolator company was the first one to ever make oil filters for automobiles..Been making them a day or two fwiw.

I has a wix 51069 oil filter but was sold a Carquest 84099 for my oil change, the Carquest filter is much shorter is it ok to use?

No, Alan. This Carquest Premium Oil Filter - Part # 84099 only replaces the Wix Oil Filter - Part # 57099. You'll need the Carquest Standard Oil Filter - Part # R85069 for your Wix Oil Filter - Part # 51069.
