Saves you gas!
Gas caps don't last forever and if your car is old enough to need one of these, it very well may have one that is failing. A leaky gas cap lets your fuel evaporate and that makes the earth and your wallet very sad. Pop one of these one your tank and you'll have one less smell to worry about; which is never a bad thing with an old car.
This cap fit perfectly on my old VW Rabbit and the polished steel finish and red warning labels give a period-correct touch to my fuel-crisis econobox. Any errant, suspicious smell of gasoline has vanished and I really think I go just a little farther on a tank. Nothing impressive, but it shows fuel was evaporating. So replace that old gas cap with one of these and you'll never have to worry about your tank being siphoned by thieves or mother nature again!
