Great brake pads
These Carquest Wearever Gold ceramic brake pads are excellent. The install was faster than the front brakes and these pads fit very nicely. The pedal pressure after the install feels just right and stopping distance in my opinion is better than the original equipment. No grease was provided in the box, which was disappointing because I had to buy some, but new shims are provided in the box. These pads went on much faster than the front pads which were the same model, the ceramic gold made for the front. The front pads I had to file the paint and some of the steel off. It's too soon to comment on brake dust and how they wear, but I believe they will be excellent.

I needed some new pads for the Jeep Liberty as the old ones were down to nothing! It is easy to replace and comes with everything I need for a nice quiet ride with great stopping power. I highly recommend these brake pads!

Hi AndyTaker, glad to assist you! Ceramic pads are created from a blend of super-strong ceramic and copper fiber imbedded into the pad compound. They create less dust, keeping your wheels cleaner and quieter than semi-metallic pads. Also, they last longer than semi-metallic brake pads.
on the outer pad there are spring clips which way do they face when installed toward front or rear

Hi Art, glad to assist you! The outer pads use these spring clips to mount to the caliper. To remove this type of pad, press the pad towards the center of the caliper and slide it off. It may be helpful to use a small prybar.
Can I use Semi-metallic pads in front and ceramic pads in rear?

This Wearever Gold Brake Pads – Rear with part# GNAD 981 has limited life time replacement as warranty. This warranty is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original sales receipt. In addition, you must be the original purchaser of the part and still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. Replacement parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of exchange or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is longer. Warranty periods may vary from part to part.
