Felt good to be a mechanic again.
Haven't installed a set of front pads in over 20 years. Did these is half hour per side. Worked and EVERYTHING just like they were designed for the Equinox! Advance Auto parts is a fantastic supplier. All sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Poor compound results in very low life
I had a set of these that lasted only 12,000 miles. The brake system is in perfect working order and the vehicle is NOT driven hard. When I needed a set for another vehicle, the ones I wanted were out of stock, so I reluctantly got another set of "Wearever" Gold pads. I just inspected these at 10,500 miles and they're shot! Time to replace again!. 2 vehicles and both of them needed replacement in under 15K - not acceptable. BTW, the original pads went 45,000 miles. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE!

If I need to replace my front brakes do I need to buy 2 brake pads or does each box come with 2 in it??

When you purchase one box of pads/shoes, you will receive (2) two pads/shoes for the driver's side and (2) two pads/shoes for the passenger's side. There will be a total of (4) four pads/shoes for in the box.
