The engine oil temperature sender (EOT) is a thermistor device that provides an input to the engine computer system to provide protection against an engine overheat condition and for variable valve timing (VVT) operation. On modern vehicle application the sensor input is also used to calculate engine oil degradation and provide the vehicle operator when an oil change is necessary.
Product Features:- Tin plated lead frame prevents corrosion and ensures a reliable terminal connection under adverse ambient conditions.
- Lead frame terminal size and location determined using image dimension measuring system or 3D laser scanner.
- Thermally conductive grease within the housing providing the most accurate temperature transfer from the engine to the thermistor.
- Plated brass or aluminum housings to prevent housing corrosion, ensures effective heat distribution to thermal element, and ensure a secure and leak-free thread mount.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD), laser scanning and 3D printing - utilizing Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Stereolithography (SLA) - in the connector terminal design process ensures speed-to-market and a precise connector fit guaranteed.
