The Engine Oil Separator is part of the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. This part is typically located on the valve cover and is designed to trap engine oil vapors in the device and return the vapors back into the engine crankcase. When this part becomes plugged oil vapors will be ingested into the intake air system and cause excessive oil consumption and smoke from the tailpipe.

Not Direct Replacement
While this part may be the replacement part for my 2013 VW Beetle 2.0T (TSI), it is not a DIRECT replacement. It does not fit the existing hoses. I've checked some other sites. I think the valve should come with some hoses as a kit in order to fit the VW. Existing hoses are wrong diameter and wrong length to fit this valve. Difference is outlined in green in photo.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
