Failure right out the box
Be careful with this part. I installed this Carquest oil pressure switch/sender (SBC1022) on my 1991 Chevy K1500 5.7 TBI during a complete restoration. Immediately afterward, I began chasing an overnight battery drain that turned into hours of troubleshooting.
The fuel pump was running continuously even with the key completely OFF, which would have drained the battery overnight. After methodically diagnosing the problem, I unplugged the oil pressure switch and the fuel pump shut off instantly. That isolated the issue to this switch. I also found other reviews from people reporting the same problem.
Whether I received a defective part or there is a quality control issue, I can't say. However, replacing this part cost me many hours of unnecessary diagnostics, and I would recommend testing the switch before installing (installing is a PAIN) it or choosing an OEM replacement instead.
I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I hope this saves someone else from spending hours chasing an electrical issue that ends up being a brand-new part.

Buy the AC Delco part
Gauge on truck acting erratic, checked oil pressure with manual guage-good. Used GM Instrument Cluster tester and verified wiring and dash guage ok. Purchase and installed this Carquest part- gauge not working at all. Purchased similiar item, Standard Ignition brand at O'Reilly- gauge reads but inaccurate-,reads low and reads 0 psi at idle. Purchased an AC Delco p/n 19244500 and gauge is reading steadily and correctly. This Carquest part is nor eligible for money back, only exchange for another
