Carquest Premium Brake Calipers are remanufactured to meet or exceed OE specifications for performance and durability. Each cast iron caliper is finished with OE-style zinc-dichromate for superior rust protection. Application-specific brackets and abutment hardware (where required) to ensure an easier installation. New EPDM rubber seals and dust boots to resist heat and prevent leaks. Every unit is 100 percentage tested for pressure and fit, ensuring out-of-the-box reliability.

Perfect Fit for 2000 Camry

Perfect bolt on fit. Be sure to remove old caliper first to take with you for the core exchange and to visually compare with the one you receive to confirm it is the correct part. Secure the brake line in a vertical position and squeeze a small piece of small rubber tubing or something similar into the brake line fitting where the banjo bolt went to prevent leaking while you're away. With new caliper - slip in pads without removing the caliper pins, install caliper, torque banjo bolt to 25 ft lbs with new washers, quick gravity bleed with a pedal push or two for a bubble free stream and you're good to go!

Works on US or Japanese built Camry
Due to the failure of an old caliper on a Japanese built 2000 Camry, and the lead time for the exact part, I purchased this caliper for the US built Camry with its larger brake pads. It bolted up and works fine, plus the pads are larger for better braking power, which is useful with a heavier, more powerful 3.0L V6 version. I eventually replaced both the RR and the LR with this setup.
