The Diesel Glow Plug Switch controls the operation of the glow plug system based on the temperature of the coolant in the cylinder head coolant jacket. During cold start and restart based on the temperature of the coolant the glow plug system will turn on or pulse the glow plugs to prevent tailpipe smoke.
