The Carburetor Choke Pull-Off is typically mounted on the outside of the carburetor and is designed to open the choke plate slightly when an engine is first started cold. The choke pull-off is an emission control device but is more importantly required for optimum engine operation in the first several minutes of run-time in cold weather conditions.
