I bought this product because I had the issue of my lights pulsating and the alternator was the last possible solution, after installing it my voltage was dropping significantly lower and battery light was coming on. I just assumed that maybe I got a bad alternator it happens. I bought a second one to see if it was the problem when I arrive at home and went to put it the 2nd one in I realized the casing was cracked. at this point I decided to put my original back in my truck. needless to say I was able to return the 2nd one, but I'm now stuck with an expensive paper weight that the store claimed isn't bad, and while my lights still pulsate my battery light hasn't come on.
