I would give zero stars if possible
I bought one of these and install was pretty easy but upon testing the voltage I found it was subpar so 2 days later I had to go to a second location to pick up another one. This install did not go easily as the side that the holding bolt screws into was not drilled out properly so the bolt bent trying to tighten it. I found another bolt but had to modify it to finally get it to screw in. So after all this, surprise, I again tested the voltage to find it was not up to OEM standards. So I'm still trying to locate an alternator that will produce the correct voltage that my car requires. And I WILL NOT be buying it from Advance. Save yourself a lot of time and headaches by just paying the extra money and waiting for a new alternator to be delivered. Advance replacement parts quality is drastically deteriorating recently.

I recently installed this alternator in my 2006 Highlander with the 4 cyl engine and it is a perfect replacement. It works perfect so far.

If you follow the instructions, this is a great replacement alternator that has a lifetime warranty. Have a baseline Highlander with a 2AZ-FE 4-cyl. with 206K on the original alternator. Think about it, Toyota does not have a lifetime warranty. Battery light came on & just barely got the car home. Battery voltage was measured @ 8.97 VDC. Charged battery to full @12.6 VDC. Installed alternator, battery now charging @ 14.02 VDC. Ahh perfect, now I have a happy SUV with a lifetime warranty alternator.

The alternator is failing on my 2006 Toyota Camry and need to replace it with this model however I've heard that I also needed to buy a new serpentine belt as well? I do not work on cars unfortunately and rely on a friend to install and fix my car as needed and was wondering if there was anything else that should be purchased along with the remanufactured alternator? i bought this alternator September 3 2019 and as of January 4 2020 there is a rattling noise and timing belt fluctuates in speed making my headlights and internal lights to dim depending on if idle or revving the engine. its a 2007 Scion Tc 2.4 L 161 HP In-Line 4. It is past the 90 day limited warranty but would the store still replace the alternator or will I have to buy another alternator?

However, we do provide a warranty of limited lifetime replacement for this CARQUEST Alternator - Remanufactured - 100 Amps (Part #11034A), the limited lifetime warranty part can be refunded for cash/credit within the 90 days time frame. After that time expires, it can only be exchanged for a new item. So the warranty is valid for the life of the part as long as the customer owns the vehicle.
