Carquest Premium Painted Brake Rotor: Meets or Exceeds OE Specs, Features RotorShield

Needed a 272mm rotor for our 2011 GTI rear brake job after we discovered RockAuto sent 285mm rotors (not totally their fault as VW made a change to a Bosch set up midstream that required slightly smaller rotors). These are a PRC produced product as most are but these were very accurate to specs to the OEM Bosch. All lug bolt and retaining bolt holes aligned perfectly and the painted hat seemed well coated to prevent rust. Used at 30% coupon code to buy online, pick up in store (less than a mile from my house). So rotors were $25 each which is competitive with online sources for aftermarket. Since the everything was apart on one axle when we discovered the oversized rotor, these were a life saver...Mated up with Bosch ceramic pads and everything seems original in feel and good to go just like the OEM brakes when new.

Dear Sirs, I purchased brake rotors and ceramic brake pads about one year ago. I purchased the brake parts at the Brookfield, CT, store. The parts rotors and pads were supposed to be a perfect fit. The rotors and pads had a lifetime warranty. The rotors were the incorrect size and too small, as were the pads. The ABS warning lights on the instrument cluster. I took out the rear rotors and pads. In one year, the pads were warned to the metal, and the rotors were useless. I want to be issued a credit for the brake parts for $150.00. The store, in my opinion, should have exchanged the old rotors and pads for new parts. They also had no clue on how to find the correct size rotors. They could not find the correct size using the VIN I had to go down to the local VW parts department. I await a response before contacting the Connecticut Attorney General's Office, Chanal Eight WTNH news, and The Connecticut Bureau of Consumer Protection. Al G.
