CARQUEST? Synthetic Blend 75W-90 GL-5 Gear Oil is a blend of synthetic and highly refined paraffinic base oils coupled with a robust additive system and shear stable viscosity modifier. It provides a high viscosity index, low pour-point, reduced friction, fuel savings, better low temperature start-up protection and longer life than conventional gear oils. It is formulated with limited slip additives eliminating the need for the addition of aftermarket treatments in most applications. This formulation exceeds the requirements of API MT-1 for use in non-synchronized manual transmissions used in buses and heavy-duty trucks. Lubricants meeting the requirements of API MT-1 service provide protection against the combination of thermal degradation, component wear, and oil-seal deterioration.
