I needed this badly! My shoes were wet when I got in the car. When I applied the brake to shift into drive, my foot slipped upward and ripped the wire contacts off. (Now I had no switch to light my brake lights!) I do alot of shopping at Advance, so I figured I could make something that would work so my brake lights would light up. (Not only to warn drivers behind me, but to reduce the probability that I may have to explain this to the police!) Since my car was in the site, it showed me this, an exact match.

Great quality and easy install!
I really like this part. I will say I did carefully remove the plastic fixture on the part as I could not find a place to pop it into under my dash.
The product comes with GOOD directions and the electrical parts you need. Word to the wise, when you go to clip the wires as you will have to because this part replaced the connecting part too. You will want to use the green and red wire from your truck and put into red wire on new part, and the black and orange or radish wire coming from truck into green wire on harness!

It's a replacement for the oem stoplight switch. I could have thought of better ways to spend [$], but the oem broke. install instr were hard to follow, but I figured it out...but, I am also a rocket scientist so I have that going for me.
