do you have to program for antitheft after purchase

Yes, the replacement Engine Control Computer (ECM) has to be programed before you install it, with the exact software calibration for your vehicle. This requires a scan tool with programming capability and software to install. You need to go to the dealer or an indepenent shop with programming capability to have it configured.
For compatibility of this part with your vehicle, please provide your vehicle make, model and engine specification.
