The Canyon Engine Case Stud is same design as the original equipment part complete with the powder coating on the center shank of the stud to guard against the corrosive effect of the condensation from heating and cooling. One of the final steps in the manufacturing process is plating the engine studs prior to the final powder coating operations. This process is required as it both cleans and improves bonding of the powder to the metal. The new Trivalent Chromium powdercoating process which is a better chromate for the environment continues to cure and brighten the plating resulting in an improved brighter coating and higher corrosion resistance.
