it worked as expected
I put this oxygen sensor in a 2005 ford Taurus. It fit perfectly and plugged right in no problem. the old oxygen sensor was difficult to remove in fact the special oxygen sensor socket I bought wasn't strong enough to do the job (it flexed because of the slot cut in the side). I had to cut the wires off so I could use a regular deep well socket. It was fairly easy to break the sensor loose with the regular socket.The new sensor had anti-seize pre applied to the threads so hopefully it will be easier if there is a next time.

Wire bundle too short for 98 Expedition
I bought 4 Bosch Oxygen Sensors. The description said that they were a direct fit for my 1998 Ford Expedition. Three fit without a problem. But the downstream driver's side sensor needed a wire bundle at least an inch longer. I had to modify the trucks's harness to make the Bosch replacement one fit.
Otherwise, after I put all four in, the engine operated normally and with no check engine lights.

Store employee told me a lot of the Bosch O2 sensors come back as defective. The least returned are the NTK ones. My Bosch 15717 lasted 30 days before throwing a code, Slow response which turned into a lean code. Buyer beware. RJM
