My 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 lt crew cab got a new windshield from safelite and two days later my wiper blade came off while it was raining. I stopped at Advance Auto in Decatur Ga and bought an exact same tye new wiper blade. The representative put it on, it wouldn't snap in place, and she said it won't fit and something must be wrong with the wiper arm. The wiper blade was taped on so I could drive. When I got back home to Milledgeville GA I went by Advance Auto to see if they had a wiper blade that would fit. The representative put on the same exact blade type and said it didn't fit and it must be a problem with the wiper arm. He advised if I find out its the blade, come back and get refunded because the blade is under warranty. I went by safelite to get reimbursed for having to buy a wiper blade that came off after receiving a new windshield. They looked at the wiper arm and installed a Bosch Ultra Patented Beam Blade Technology wiper blade that fit and snapped in place. It wasnt a wiper arm problem. The representative at Advanced Auto in Milledgeville GA the day before advised to bring the blade back for a refund if it was a wiper bade problem. I returned and the previous representative was not there. I explained to the new representative what happened, he said he wasnt there previously was confused, and had me speak to the manager. I explained to the manager what happened and he said Safelite just put on different blades. I explained I had just told him, that they put on Bosch Blades that fit and the blades that Advance Auto calls for dont fit. I presented my receipt and asked for a refund because the wiper blade I just bought from Advance Auto was under warranty. He advised he was trying to figure out what to do and was standing around looking confused. It was only after I advised him I spent 27 years in Law Enforcement, I don't play deceptive games, and the wiper blade was under warranty. After all that, he refunded the cost to my card. I was very uneasy that I had to tell him I use to be a Law Enforcement officer to change his demeanor towards me. I should not have had to tell him that.
