Good Plug - Great Price
I bought this plug mainly becuase I wanted an Iridium plug that would have the durability, and reliability to match that of the OEM plugs. I spent a lot of time researching various plugs, but when it comes down to it; for a daily driver just about any plug will be fine. What I did like was that between the online savings code with Advance Auto and the mail-in rebate from Autolite, I was able to purchase these for less than $3 a plug. I put the plugs into both a 2002 Lincoln Navigator with the 5.4L and a 2002 Ford Mustang GT with the 4.6L. After a month of driving, both run very smoothly and are performing as expected. These are a good plug at a good price.

I just installed the Autolite Xtreme Iridium plugs and the 19 yr old nissan 3.0 v6 motor developed a rough idle and drop in performance. So yesterday I reinstalled the old plugs and the engine runs quite abit smoother. Oh well..

My car was knocking. Found out one of my plug and wire was vibrating tremendously. This plug totally fixed it! Smooth and quite. May buy 5 more to replace all of them. I was AMAZED how good this plug is.

Are these plugs pre gaped?

Hi Thomas, happy to help you! This Autolite Iridium Iridium XP Spark Plug (Part # XP3924) has a pre-gap size of .045"-inch. All the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings.
Are these considered short plugs and what's the length?

No, David, this Autolite Iridium Iridium XP Spark Plug (Part # XP3924) is not a short spark plug, it has a thread reach of 0.75"- inches.
