Cured Hard Starts on a Cold Day
Install Tips: Spray a good rust penetrant on plugs where they screw in and at the wire spade connectors at least 24 hours in advance. Install Tips GMC 1998 Suburban: You will have to take off the inner fender well on passenger side (15 mins) to get at plug closest to the fire wall, first 3 reachable by just taking off rubber shroud, 2nd from firewall will also need to have heat shield (bolted onto the manifold removed - spay night before as well and use impact wrench). The plug closest to firewall on Drivers side best reachable from under the vehicle. Be prepared for some of the spade connectors to be a problem, two of them I end up breaking tip off of old glow plug and then remove the from plug wire spade connector.
Most Liked Negative Review
I wont buy these again.
the upper stems (for the electrical connection) are very delicate and snap off before reaching minimum torque spec -you must choose between likely breaking the stems off during installation due to "excessive torquing" or letting the nut vibrate loose after five minutes of driving. the heating element burns out after 1000 miles MAX. I will DEFINITELY spring for better glow plugs next time.

Junk!

Spit out half of glow plug while driving down road...loud is putting it mildly. Quality is definitely not there!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
NO!
Do Not buy Autolite glowplugs. the only glow plugs acceptable for a 6.9/7.3 diesel are motorcraft or zeru....all others will burn out and can swell up and break off when you take them out. motorcraft is the way to go
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
grounded out set of 8 glowplugs 1108/
the 1108 plugs have power on the threads and when installed in motor they ground out. reinstall our old ones and they do not ground out.what is the problem?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

made my truck start right up tnks again advanced
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
DON'T EVER BUY THESE
Don't get these! They fail prematurely and can overheat, the tip can swell up and then they get stuck in teh cylinder head making it necessary to remove the heads so they can be cut off and removed. Spend the extra money and get the Motorcraft or Beru glow plugs.
