Anchor 9148 The Torque Strut prevents engine rocking. Each part is engineered and designed to OE Standards. Natural and SBR rubber provide maximum life and performance. Steel fasteners are heat treated grade 5 bolts. A special bonding agent is used to ensure a rubber to metal bond. Rubber material is mixed to specific Durometer, hardness.

Exactly What I Needed
I have a automatic 2002 Toyota Camry. I had noticed that switching from park to drive to reverse was causing the engine to catch and jerk. I noticed that the torque motor mount was completely rotted out. This part replaced the old one perfectly and only took me about 5 minutes to replace. All I needed was to take a jack to the bottom side of the engine just to support it, then a 9/16 inch and a ratchet was the only tool needed to install. This made a huge improvement to the way the car shifted. Although it is still catching when giving it gas while it is coasting, I may need to check the other mounts and will be using this same brand and store to replace those too.

SHORT LASTING
MOUNT ONLY LAST 3 YEARS. SEEMS IT WILL NEED REPLACEMENT EVERY 3-4 YEARS. THAILAND QUALITY !!! thanks God is very easy to replace and to the lifetime warranty. if you have mechanical skills then this short durability should not be a problem. but if you have to paid for installation every time mount broke ,then is not viable.

My daughter is the second owner of a 2005 Camry at 200k miles. There was a loose feeling or thumping when shifting and accellerating / decellerating which I tracked to the torque strut or "dogbone" engine mount. It looked like the one on the car was the original equipment part.
I found the Advance Auto replacement part online, placed the order, and was pleased that it was in stock for immediate pickup at the new Advance store on Lawrenceville Hwy. near N. Druid Hills Road. The Advance part was an exact replacement for the original and the installation was easy.

This Torque Strut Mount by Anchor fit my 2003 Camry perfectly and it was easy to install. Also, the part feels sturdy and the rubber that acts as the damper feels solid. Just take out the 2 bolts that is holding the old Torque Strut Mount and your home free to install this replacement part. Only took me less than 10 minutes to replace my old Torque Strut Mount.
