Steel fasteners are heat treated grade 5 bolts. A special bonding agent is used to ensure a rubber to metal bond. Rubber material is mixed to specific Durometer, hardness.

It struggled with installing this for over an hour. Turns out it's base is much larger than the original. Had to cut about 1/4"+ off around the edges to get it to fit. Huge headache
