Anchor 2855 This mount supports the engine and dampen vibration. Each mount is specifically engineered and designed to OE standards. Natural and SBR rubber provide maximum life and performance. Steel fasteners are heat treated grade 5 bolts. A special bonding agent is used to ensure a rubber to metal bond. Rubber material is mixed to specific Durometer, hardness.

I would not buy this product again.
This was not made to OE spec. The mount did not fit properly, it hit cross member and bolt holes would not line up. Had to cut approx. 1/8" off horizontal lower edge to clear cross member. This was not an easy job to start with and this made the installation take a very long time. The picture looks like OE but the Anchor mount looks somewhat different. I was not happy with this product.

This front mount lasted 50 miles.
I bought and installed this on a 97 Merc Villager. It looked just like the OEM unit(which lasted 190K mi)and it appeared well made. This new one lasted only a few days and wiped out the rubber. I then bought the dealer part and that was 20k mi ago with no problems so far. Mine could have been a fluke but the rubber was typical Chinese junk rubber. Just my experience.

Original post in 5/2011 covered the problem I had during installation because mount not made to spec. Fast forward to 5/2013, rubber in mount broken. Not happy with this product.

I let the engine flop around for a few months after this one broke and tried this mount a second time. What a waste of time installing this cheap mount.
