Steel fasteners are heat treated grade 5 bolts. A special bonding agent is used to ensure a rubber to metal bond. Rubber material is mixed to specific Durometer, hardness.

The mount looked almost exactly like the OEM part. Installation required the radiator fan to be removed and the engine and trans to be held by jacks. Actually, the trans is the only thing that needed to be held up. Removal of the OEM mount was straight forward as was the installation of the Advance Auto replacemant mount. When I was done the metal part of the mount was sitting crooked. I have another Escort and it still has its OEM mount. When I looked at this car I found that the mount also sat crooked. So far this mount is working great.
