Pump is good value
This pump is an exact OEM replacement, except for electrical connection. Simply splice into the existing wires using the supplied blue splice connectors and spade wire pigtails. then plug into the pump and connect pump to the tank. If the pump runs and no water is sprayed, swap the connectors on the pump and try again.

Not for 1989 Corolla DLX
I just purchased this washer pump for my 1989 Corolla sedan based on the previous review saying that this parts is a perfect fit for his 1989 Toyota truck. Maybe he was correct for his truck but it is completely different from my car. The inlet of the original part is a needle-like tube inserting at the bottom of the tank. This replacement parts has a much larger inlet that will not fit nor has any adaptor fitting. Check the shape of your pump to make sure it look similar before buying.

¡¡ Not as advertised !! Buy a better model/brand.
Says it fit my car (2005 Solara) exactly, but the electrical connector does not. Had to cut off both wires and splice them into the new pump. Then, they only provide a single splice connector, had to improvise for the ground wire.
Pump doesn't have enough force to spray the fluid to the top of the windshield. You get what you pay for I learn again.

Wiring required :-(

The pump is a physical match for the original part from Toyota for my '89 pickup except for the plug for power. The pump only had simple positive/negative posts that you have to connect via wires to splice connectors to power coming from battery. I'm sure they did this to fit a more broad audience of vehicles but I was not willing to do any wiring because the instructions, owners manual and haynes book for my truck did not make clear which of the two blue wires was positive/negative. Luckily, my 21 year old pump turned out not to be the problem so I didn't have to use this pump.
On the plus side, the pump does come with a fluid filter and extra hose connections in case yours have given out.

Mechanic preferred original part

Mechanic recommended against it. Had me buy the Lexus factory pump at the dealer.
